Launching Global Dialogue in London
The Africa Advancement Forum held its inaugural Global Summit on 31 October 2019 in London, bringing together policymakers, business leaders, investors, academics, and members of the African diaspora. The summit created a platform for dialogue and partnerships focused on advancing Africa’s economic growth.
Held under the theme “Building a Prosperous Africa on the Pillars of Peace, Security, Entrepreneurship and Human Capital Development,” discussions emphasized governance, entrepreneurship, and human capital as key drivers of sustainable development. The event concluded with the Africa Advancement Awards, recognizing outstanding contributions to the continent’s progress.
Strengthening Commitment During a Global Crisis
In 2020, the Forum postponed its Global Summit in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, prioritizing the safety and well-being of participants and partners. The decision followed global health guidelines and reflected the Forum’s commitment to responsible leadership during a time of uncertainty.
